Certified Music Teacher (Vocal/Choral)
2026–2027 School Year

Johnsburg Central School is seeking qualified candidates for a Certified Music Teacher position serving Pre-K–12 students.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a certified music teacher with strong expertise in choral methodologies to lead and oversee the district’s choral program. The successful candidate will direct choral ensembles, teach general music, coordinate concerts and the Pop Singers, and participate in community events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction
  • Lead and manage choral rehearsals and performances
  • Coordinate concerts and special music events
  • Supervise students in various school-related settings

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State certification in Music Education
  • Experience directing middle and/or high school choir preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Johnsburg Central School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Guidance Counselor to join our school community. This role is essential in supporting students’ academic success, social-emotional development, and post-secondary planning, including college, career, military, and Vo-Tech pathways.

Position Overview

  • Provide academic, social, and emotional guidance to students
  • Support college, career, and Vo-Tech readiness
  • Assist students with career exploration and vocational planning

Head Custodian – Building & Grounds*
12-Month, Full-Time Position
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Head Custodian to oversee the care and maintenance of our building and grounds.
Responsibilities Include:
•    Supervising custodial and cleaning staff
•    Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the facility
•    Performing and overseeing minor repairs and building maintenance
•    Managing grounds maintenance and seasonal upkeep
•    Ensuring building operations run efficiently and effectively
Minimum Qualifications:
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Minimum of three (3) years of building maintenance or custodial experience
•    Must hold a valid New York State driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits:
•    Starting Salary: $60,656

•    Opportunity for additional pay if you become 19A Certified and drive a school bus (training provided)

Mechanic’s Helper


Johnsburg Central School is seeking candidates for a Full-Time position, Mechanic’s Helper position, available immediately.
The starting salary ranges from $21.45 to $24.30 per hour, depending on experience. A competitive benefits package is offered.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain 19-A Certification to drive a school bus (training provided).  Starting salary for bus driving is $22.60 and will increase based on experience as listed in the CSEA contract.
